“...that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.” (1 Chronicles 4 v 10)

Oh Lord, I need Your continuous presence with me if this is to be the case. Please prevent me from putting my thoughts, ideas, wants or needs, before those of others.

It is important that I am seen to love You, seen to be different to when I lived entirely by worldly standards.

Please send Your Spirit to help me.

He shows me the love within Your Sacred Heart and this is such a privilege, thank You. I want to respond to all You are to me, all You do for me, all You teach me.

Life is blessed richly in Your presence. I am so glad of Your company. This is in fact, fullness of life to me.

Without this I would be bereft, feel orphaned, and not have the hope of eternity.

I hope to join my life to the unique offering You make in the Sacramental Mystery, whereby You feed me spiritually, coming to all believers as the Bread of Life.

You unite us to Yourself so we may consecrate our efforts to become more like You, and the time spent so gladly in Your company, to the delight and honour of our Father.

For You show us the full meaning of grace and truth, as You are the Light of our Father’s love and mercy shining upon us, “To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him

without fear...” (Luke 1 v 74) for we can trust our future although the details are unknown, to You whom we do know.

Lord Jesus, our Saviour, a most dear Brother, please continue by Your Spirit of love to help us serve our Father. “In holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life.” (Luke 1 v 75)

You are the love and the most marvellous mercy manifest, made real to us, freeing us from stan’s iron grip.

“You who are mighty have done for us,” (based on Luke 1 v 49) especially at the †of forgiveness.

You redeem and restore us by love. Love is Your message to us, taking away doubt, fear, anxiety and many manners of suffering. Thank You for coming to us Lord Jesus, as our Divine Healer.

You are the Redeemer and Your love must be shown to each other. Please help us to reconnect our soul with the Holy Spirit by means of our developing spirituality, which focuses entirely upon You.

We need to live by and share Your power of healing love, of forgiveness, of tender care, of fortitude which never gives up on us, for You well understand our weaknesses, having shared this in all things but sin.

You truly are a Brother become our Saviour, for Your perfectly holy life was offered up at the †as the supreme sacrifice, that our Father could and would release His blessings upon us.

The world needs to learn this, so we need Your Spirit to show us how to share Your love, our Father’s mercy, in word, in deed, actively and effectively, as this love is sent or lent from our Father’s heart of gold.

To know You is to learn of our Father and to experience the Holy Spirit, and this is the supreme experience in life. We are held securely, safely in Your love, until we meet face to face in heaven to enjoy our company even more fully and eternally.

You are the Lord of our hope in God’s promise, and His promises cannot fail, they always hold true as long as we are prepared to receive. Please teach us to pray therefore.

Prayer will enable us to tell of You, to help others to find You, their seeking always rewarded. But do not let our ideas get in the way, for the doing must be Yours, in the Spirit.

Your love is sovereign, thankfully, so we need no longer fear the enemy who prowls around like a lion, looking for someone to devour. May he find no one because we become committed to You.

satan will gain no foothold if we are faithfully committed to You, honest in all things including our faults and failings, praying for help to overcome these if we are to become the family You predicted, planned and purposed together with our Father.

Thank You for making us Your very own possession, children of love formed for this purpose and fully cherished, most richly blessed to belong to You. By this we experience that joy which surpasses all happiness.

Let Your joy be our strength to move us forwards in faith, onwards and upwards on a journey which should be seen as a pilgrimage undertaken enthusiastically, even though we are not yet made perfect.

Please keep us trying as Your Spirt touches our heart, mind, imagination, will, conscience, trust and dedication. We must, must learn to trust You fully as our Saviour Brother, the Word of the Father, the Light

of our life.

You can and will do everything that is needed to help us heed and respond to the blessed call to become holy, entirely holy, finding this in Your company, the love of the One nearest to our Father’s heart of love and mercy.

We stand in need of such blessing at all times and sometimes urgently, in order to live for You, Lord Jesus. “I do not claim to have received all that God has for me, neither have I yet been made perfect.”

(Philippians 3 v 12 The Truth)

But I delight to be one of Your good works in progress, “Always moving forward to take hold of everything You had planned to give me when You laid hold of my life.” (Cont)

“I have not yet appropriated everything” (v 13) for I do feel I sometimes take one step forwards only to fall two steps backwards. I am sorry for this and ask for help to keep praying to persevere.

I ask to “Maintain my focus, forgetting what lies behind me in the past and reaching out with longing to what lies ahead.” (v 13) I ask for a happy death.

In the meantime, may it be that my life is fully in touch with Your Spirit, “I press on toward my goal.” (v 14) delighting in Your help, support and inspiration, and thanking You for the full happiness of Your

friendship.

You are my hope, my peace and my highest joy, believing with certainty thatI am “To gain the prize that God has for me when He calls me home to heaven in unity” (v 14) with You, dear Brother.

I ask to continuously live in You, through You, fully alert and responsive to the Holy Spirit, that I “Continue to live in the good of what I have already received,” all the blessings and benefits of Your friendship, “And do not slip back.” (v 16)

For then my life will have counted for being a life lived by faith, fully and truly blessed by the power of holy love, for which I offer all thanks and praise. Amen.
